I Wanna be a Billionaire, so Freakin' bad....

So just when I feel I've made peace with the fact that Mr. Bo and I will never be rich, I come to a more accurate realization that, as enlightened as I may feel about material things, money really does make the world go round....especially in Bo world. Over the past few weeks Mr. Bo and I have had, I feel, one too many snow days. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the occasional unexpected day off as much as the next person, but all Mr. Bo and I seem to do on our days off is sleep too much and spend too much money. After 24 hours of being snowed in and contracting a nasty case of cabin fever, we usually decide to venture out into the snowy, slushy mess, only to return home with much lighter wallets. Over the past few weeks Mr. Bo and I have managed to purchase a popasan chair, a lamp, 3 throw rugs, and various other household decorative items along with 2 wii games, bike shoes, bike shorts, and waaay too many clothes and accessories, (ok the clothes and accessories was just me)....Not to mention indulging ourselves in dinners, drinks, and concerts. Luckily a majority of the money we have been spending came from our more than generous families in the form of Christmas gifts, but now that most of that money is gone, I'm left wondering how I am going to continue to support my retail relapse.....This all comes after an extremely long hiatus from ever buying anything "just for fun" unless it fit into our Dave Ramsey endorsed budget

The financial future for this wanna-be house wife is not looking so bright.

Self Destructive Behavior

One of my biggest pet peeves: Clutter
Ex: Cups left sitting around the house

One of my worst habits: Being a clutter-er (Apparently one of Mr.Bo's worst habits too)
Ex: Leaving cups sitting around the house

Tis The Season

Compliments of Mr.Lennon, Mr. McCartney, Mr. Harrison, and Mr. Starr....

Let me tell you how it will be;
There's one for you, nineteen for me.
'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

Should five per cent appear too small,
Be thankful I don't take it all.
'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

If you drive a car, car; I’ll tax the street;
If you try to sit, sit; I’ll tax your seat;
If you get too cold, cold; I’ll tax the heat;
if you take a walk, walk; I'll tax your feet.

Taxman!

'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

Don't ask me what I want it for, (ah-ah, mister Wilson)
If you don't want to pay some more. (ah-ah, mister heath)
'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

Now my advice for those who die, (taxman)
Declare the pennies on your eyes. (taxman)
'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

And you're working for no one but me.

Taxman!

Working Class Heroes

My first week as a 24 year old nanny is about to commence, and my overall feelings about my new job are mostly positive. The kids are cute, the parents are awesome, and I get home before 7:00 pm! My work day typically starts around 7:30 and usually ends between 4 and 5. The hardest part so far has been the early mornings, but for me anytime before 9:30 am is early, not to mention I'm really only getting up about half an hour earlier than I was before. Plus, I get a little bit of downtown when the kids are napping. My favorite part about my new job however, (besides getting to slip in some awesome day time television now and then) is the fact that I actually have time to get stuff done! For example, I actually did the grocery shopping this week! Then today, I was able to swing by the tanning bed, (don't judge me), make a quick trip to Walgreen's, and be home by 5:00; just in time to put on my Abbey Road vinyl and COOK DINNER! Portobello mushroom "burgers" with asparagus.Yum. Then I finally got around to creating a Mii, which I consider my biggest accomplishment so far this week. Tomorrow I'm looking forward to cleaning my car and painting my nails. Waaahhhoooo!

Out With a Bang, In With a Grenade.

Having never watched an entire episode of "The Jersey Shore" before, I thought it a well justified decision to spend the better part of the first day of 2011, (and by "better part of the day" I mean the entire day) watching a Jersey Shore marathon on TV...

Its going to be a good year.
